NSBE Jr. Expansion

Franklin County High School NSBE Jr.

Located in Winchester, TN, FCHS is UTSI-NSBE's first successful NSBE Jr. effort.  FCHS-NSBE Jr. was chartered during the spring of 2002 and is currently in its second year of operation.  The chapter has an advisor from the FCHS faculty and a chapter executive board of FCHS students.  The Chapter advisor is Ron Hill and the 2002-2003 President is Jonathan Murray.  The chapter has participated in the UTSI-NSBE Black History Month Essay Contest, taken a field trip to the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, and has received ACT and homework tutoring.

Tullahoma High School

Located in Tullahoma, TN, THS is UTSI-NSBE's second target school for NSBE Jr.  Some limited sponsorship has already been offered for chapter activities, but UTSI-NSBE manpower is too limited to begin chapter planting activities at THS until the FCHS NSBE Jr. chapter gains more strength and independence.  THS was UTSI-NSBE's initial target school, with some efforts conducted during the 1998-1999 Academic Year, but logistical and other difficulties prevented the chapter from taking off. 

Central High School

Located in Manchester, TN, CHS is UTSI-NSBE's third target school for NSBE Jr.  No date has been set to initiate NSBE Jr. activities.
